Track habituated chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, explore the Bigodi Wetland, and trek mountain gorillas deep within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest alongside local community visits. Complete your journey tracking rare golden monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park before returning to Entebbe.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Uganda

Today you will arrive at Entebbe airport. Upon arrival, you shall be assisted through emigration clearance. You shall be transported to your hotel which is only 20 minutes from the airport.

Day 2 | Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast you will depart to Kibale Forest National Park. This drive will last 6 hours. Upon arrival in Kibale Forest National Park you will check in at your accommodation.

Day 3 | Chimpanzee tracking Experience and Bigodi primates walk

After breakfast, you will be briefed for Chimpanzee tracking at the park headquarters. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees. You will exit the forest and drive back to your accommodation for lunch. In the evening, you may take a guided walk through Bigodi swamps in search for several primates species. Return to your accommodation in the evening.

Day 4 | Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

At 07:30hr, you shall be picked up from your accommodation to start your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Along the way, you will pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park and you may spot some animals grazing on the roadside. You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening.

Day 5 | Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters from where you shall be briefed and grouped for your Gorilla trekking exercise. You will spend an hour following, observing and photographing the Gorillas as they feed, play, and groom each other. In the evening, you will have a guided tour of the communities around Bwindi.

Day 6 | Golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park

At 6am, you shall check out from Bwindi and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park via Kisoro town. Trekking golden monkeys and gorillas is a similar experience – in a small group of no more than eight people, and you can spend one hour with the monkeys once you find them. After tracking you will exit the park and return to your accommodation.

Day 7 | Drive to Entebbe and Departure

After an early breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation for the long journey back to Entebbe. Have a few sightseeing stops along the way. In Entebbe, you shall check in for your departure flight to the next destination. Flights from Kisoro are also available.
