We have been privileged to witness how tourism has been able to transform the lives of local communities around key destinations and we strongly believe that we have roles to play to radiate the benefits of tourism further in the local communities.

Uganda Shoe Trees
Uganda Shoe Trees supports communities in rural areas by providing high-quality, hand-made school shoes for needy students at in specific partner schools. This comes in handy to students who trek longer journeys to school. Their access to education could be hampered by a mere lack of shoes.
As Green & Yellow Tours, we make an annual donation to this cause. We also enable our clients to be part of the initiative by joining in the distribution of shoes at the schools. We also enable clients to make direct donations or donations through us. The schools where this initiative is conducted are located in Kihihi, South-western Uganda between Ishasha sector (Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Let's Go Green Project
Let’s Go Green Initiative is part of Uganda Shoe Trees Educational Support. Let’s Go Green seeks to mobilize students and administrators at partner schools to improve the quality of their campus through tree planting, nature conservation, and recycling non-biodegradable material. The students are equiped with knowledge about environmental conservation practices which they are able to implement in their respective homes. This initiative is important to communities neighboring protected areas for sustainable interactions between the communities, wildlife and the environment.
We offer our clients an opportunity to be part of tree planting and to make direct donations to schools to purchase tree seedlings. We also make donations towards purchasing tree seedlings. Clients can also talk to students about environmental conservation.
