Your Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be received by our representative and assisted through emigrations formalities. Afterwards, you shall be driven to your accommodation in Kigali city.

Day 2 | City Tour – Akagera National Park
Visit the Genocide Memorial Museum, Kandt Museum and a local crafts market or a groceries market. After lunch, you will drive to Akagera National Park. Check in at your accommodation.

Day 3 | Game Drive & Boat Ride
Early in the morning you will embark on a game drive in Akagera National Park. Look out for the lion pride and other wildlife in the area. A boat trip on Lake Ihema to see large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles and abundant waterbirds on the lake.

Day 4 | Volcanoes National Park
Drive to Volcanoes National Park through the rolling hills via Kigali. Take a lunch stop and numerous photography stops along the way.

Day 5 | Gorilla Trekking – The Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Campus
Follow trails in the park at the foot of The Virunga Mountain ranges with informative ranger guides until you find the Gorillas. You have an hour to observe, photograph and record the Gorillas as they feed and groom each other. Visit The Ellen DeGeneres conservation campus in the evening.

Day 6 | Golden Monkey Trekking – Visit Iby’Iwachu Village
Search the bamboo zone at the foot of The Virunga Mountain ranges with informative ranger guides for Golden monkeys. You have an hour to observe, photograph and record these playful primates. Visit Iby’Iwachu cultural village for an experience of Rwandese culture and traditions.

Day 7 | Drive to Gisenyi – Boat Ride on Lake Kivu
The drive to Lake Kivu takes 2 hours. Check in at your lakeside accommodation and relax. In the evening take a boat cruise on Lake Kivu.

Day 8 | Optional Activities on Lake Kivu
You may choose to do any of the following optional activities on Lake Kivu; kayaking, biking, tour of fishing villages, tour of Gisenyi town or a fishing experience with local fishermen. You may choose to relax all day at your hotel.

Day 9 | Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Nyungwe Forest harbors 13 primates’ species including chimpanzees. Drive south enjoying beautiful views of the Lake Kivu frontier. Check in at your accommodation in the evening.

Day 10 | Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Chimpanzee tracking can last for between 2-5 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees. You will spend a maximum of one hour interacting, photographing and observing the animals. Take on a thrilling canopy walk in Nyungwe forest in the afternoon.

Day 11 | Kigali – Nyanza Kings’ Palace
Enroute to Kigali, visit Nyanza palace – the seat of the defunct Kingdom of Rwanda. Have a guided tour of the palace and Kings’ herd. Proceed to Kigali and check in at your accommodation in the evening.

Day 12 | Departure
This day, you will be transferred to Kigali International airport and check in for your departure flight to your next destination.
